Central Vaughan · Vaughan, Ontario
Maple
A central Vaughan community built around an older village core and decades of surrounding subdivisions, with GO Transit access and a wide spread of home ages and price points.

Maple is often the practical middle ground in Vaughan. It has an older core near Major Mackenzie Drive and Keele Street, subdivisions built across several decades around it, and a Barrie-line GO station that makes it one of the easier parts of the city for downtown commuters. Buyers who feel priced out of Kleinburg and want more transit than Woodbridge often end up here.
Housing in Maple
- Older detached homes and bungalows near the historic Maple core.
- 1990s and 2000s subdivisions with two-storey detached and semi-detached homes.
- Townhomes and newer mid-rise condo development closer to major intersections.
Everyday life and amenities
- Canada's Wonderland sits at Maple's southern edge, near Highway 400.
- Community centres, arenas and parks throughout the residential areas.
- Everyday retail concentrated along Major Mackenzie Drive and Keele Street.
Getting around and commuting
Maple GO Station is on the Barrie line, and Rutherford GO is close by for parts of the community. Highway 400 runs along the western edge. This combination is the main reason Maple appeals to people who commute into Toronto more than a couple of days a week.
Who Maple tends to suit
- First-time and move-up buyers who want variety in home age and price.
- GO Transit commuters.
- Families who want a conventional suburban layout with nearby recreation.

Questions about Maple
- What is Maple like?
- Suburban and family-oriented, with a small older core surrounded by subdivisions of varying ages. It's less distinctive than Kleinburg or old Woodbridge, but it offers a wider range of home types and better commuter transit than most of Vaughan.
- Does Maple have a GO station?
- Yes — Maple GO Station is on the Barrie line, and Rutherford GO Station serves the area to the south. Which one is closer depends on the specific street, so check it against any home you're considering.
